Lows were in 40's IIRC. I did not have a seeping bag as I left it home by mistake, but did not need it. I made a special trip Saturday to Kingman to buy a SB as the forecast called for much colder temps.
There are higher end bags that can make a world of difference but they are usually several hundred dollars. The last 2 nights were cold, with the last night the low being about I had multiple layers on and the Buddy heater on low and I still got cold at times the last night but overall it was passable, but not what I'd call comfortable.
I also hate being cold so YMMV. Here's the tent 10x14 Kodiak I was in and the heater I used. Last year, I was in 7E in this tent and heater set to 9k and lows in single digits and it was cold.
Like I'm not doing it again cold. I suspect if I had a better sleeping bag, it would have helped a lot. Also, as another member mentioned, if you'll be below 7, feet, the heater will work fine, and maybe even a little higher.
The down side if you sleep too close to the heater you run the risk getting burned or starting a fire. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment.

I can run it all night on high for several nights, plus cook and still have plenty of propane left over. One time I ran into trouble at around feet where the heater kept shutting off.
Low oxygen sensor I think. That year I just brought in the coleman stove and ran that. I keep the propane tank inside the tent to help keep it from freezing when it gets below half full.
Works good for me. Plan on taking an extra layer for sleeping. Take a couple wool blankets just in case the weather changes and it gets colder. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment.

With the same online questionnaire as previous Tent Surveys, we asked for the same basic initial information on age, gender, frequency of camping and more, from all respondents.
Ease of pitching and price, respectively, were the next most important factors. As in previous years, other key reasons for purchase were: design, layout and brand reputation.
Also mentioned were ventilation, method of pitching and fabrics. In total, the Tent Survey covers feedback on over 50 makes of tent and more than ranges — with some tents accounting for as little as one response.
The main age category of tent buyers was year-olds, with 47 the average age. Over half of our respondents camped as a family with children.
We also asked about how our respondents camped. Even so, they rated a better than average 6. Do note, however, the Tent Survey is not necessarily a picture of sales dynamics.
Our survey measures owner satisfaction, not actual sales. The aggregate score of 8. And again, on a scale of one to 10, there was an 8. Those surveyed also expressed particular satisfaction with aspects such as waterproofing and method of pitching nine apiece , spaciousness 8.
We also asked about where folk made their tent purchases. There has been a huge increase in inflatable-tube tents. In comparison to tents, folding campers including trailer tents is a tiny market, though we had nearly three times as many respondents reporting on their experiences this time compared with last year.
